This guide assumes that you have already purchased the Rainforest plugin from within the automationbridge interface, and that you have setup the Rainforest device on your network.
Step 1 - Add the plugin via the Network Devices/Plugins page
Step 2 - Enter the connection details for your Rainforest device, you will find the Cloud ID and Install Code on the underside of the unit, or on the box it came in.
Step 3 - A connection will be made to the device, to confirm the access details, if correct you will be presented with an option to select a un-used switch.
If you have a spare z-wave switch or plug (a good idea is to use a dual fibaro switch module, for a single light, leaving the 2nd channel spare) you can select it, and the plugin will then update the power (watts) and kWh into that device, therefore making the energy usage part of the Fibaro Energy Panel.
Step 4 - The Plugin will then be setup, and a Virtual Device will have been created to show the energy usage in your Fibaro Controller.
Clicking the OK button will complete the setup, and return you to the Settings page from the Plugin. Here you will be able to edit the device, and change its settings if required.
You will now find thee new device in your Fibaro controller.
This VD will be updated every 20 seconds with the wattage reading from your Rainforest device. If you selected to update a native fibaro device with the energy usage, you will find this is also updated every 20 seconds.
You will also find a global variable has been created, that can be used in scene logic if required.
