Starting from v0.426 of the automationbridge, you can now use an alias name for the any device, instead of the name setup in your Controller.
Navigate to the Google Assistant page on the automationbridge, and you will find there is a new column for entering the Alias name, just enter a new name in the field, making sure to tab/click out of the field to ensure that the name is automatically updated.
In this example, we are going to update some device names, and then go thru the process to ensure that Google Assistant has the new names.
Step 1 - Update some of the device names as needed.
Step 2 - Now, to update the device names in the Google Assistant platform, open the Google Home app. Pull down to perform a refresh, this will take a few seconds and then your device names will be updated.
