We know that in some configurations, simple relays and single-switch z-wave devices are used for Garage Doors & Locks, we have now added a feature where these can devices can be set as an actual Garage Door, or a Door Lock within the HomeKit configuration.
To do this, please ensure that your bridge is updated to at least v0.392.
Navigate to the iOS HomeKit page, and you will now find a configuration icon beside any Switch object.
Click this icon, to edit the device, you will then be able to select how this device appears in HomeKit.
Make the required change, then click Update to save and apply, the HomeKit service will be restarted, and after a few seconds, you device will now show as such in the Home App.
By default when using a switch device
OFF = OPEN/UNLOCKED & ON = CLOSED/LOCKED
This behaviour can be changed by flipping the Swap ON/OFF Actions slider, and then the actions will be
ON = OPEN/UNLOCKED & OFF = CLOSED/LOCKED
