Door Locks are now supported as a native device in Google Assistant, these can be enabled and configured as from v0.388.

Once your automationbridge has been updated, just enable the door lock from the main page, if it has previously been enabled, we suggest you disable and then re-enable to ensure that the correct device type is configured.

The door lock will now be enabled for voice control, by default no pin is required to lock and unlock via the Assistant.

To enable a PIN code to be used to unlock the door, go to the Google Assistant tab, and then select the config icon to the right of the Door Lock.

Now, enable the slider to set the requirement for a pin code, and then enter your desired code (please note that 1234 is an example only).

Please note : Pin Codes are numeric only.

Click Update and your bridge and the Google platform will be updated with the requirements.

Now, when you ask Google to open your door, it will prompt you for the pin code.

Here is a transcript of the full action;

Me -> Google : Hey Google, Unlock the front door

Google -> Me : Can I have your security code to unlock the front door

Me -> Google : 1 2 3 4

Google -> Me : Got it, unlocking the front door

The process will also check the code, and advise if incorrect and re-prompt,

Me -> Google : Hey Google, Unlock the front door

Google -> Me : Can I have your security code to unlock the front door

Me -> Google : 9 0 9 5

Google -> : Sorry the security code is incorrect, can I have your security code to unlock the front door

Me -> Google : 1 2 3 4

Google -> Me : Got it, unlocking the front door

If you find that Google is not responding to the pin code, check your My Activity in the Home app, it may be that Google Assistant is mis-interpreting the numeric code, in some cases it seems to translate the number 2 as 'to' and therefore the code fails, and its just says 'sorry i not sure how to help with that'
